Yes, http://www.wowhead.com/ seems to quite helpful.
I also use the experience of Cat and Crayvex who tell me when I'm being stupid.
Other than that can you beat google?

Started playing WOW about 6 months ago, now looking for friendly guild to take the game further. Favourite things include mage blizzard on large mob... i will never tire of that.

Hmm, My real life proffesion is Osteopathy, although looking for a career change into proffesional gambling.. much more fun.
Likes/dislikes - I like socialising and cake, dislike angry people and coffee cake.
Hobbies and interests are fast motorbikes and fast cars. Currently building track day/race car.
P.S would some one like to own up to driving my car around bristol ring road on 10/05/10? Succesful applicants will receive 3 points and hearty hand shake. We all know points mean prizes!

I'm sorry but we have very limited raid spots meaning we expect applicants to have an extensive raiding history and also to be geared properly for the current content we are raiding.

Unfortunately you don't have the experience or gear that matches the content we are progressing through so we can't offer you a trial.

Your gear is currently geared for heroics and maybe Naxx 10.

I would suggest collecting badges and buying upgrades from vendors. There are also some nice epic upgrades in the new Lich King 5-man instances
